Ly started playing golf at the age of 8 years old. She also enjoys exercising, hanging out with family and traveling.

- Two-time NCAA Individual Regional Qualifier in 2014, 2015
- Won back to back CIF Valley Championships in 2009, 2010
- Three-time Tri-River Athletic Conference (TRAC) Most Valuable Player (2008, 2009, 2010)
- Four-time southern section qualifier (2007-2010)
- Four-time first-team all city (2007-2010)
